Darand Williams
- Visionary
Darand, an entrepreneurial figure with over 30 years of experience in construction and development, played an instrumental role in forming the business. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. During his career, Darand collaborated with corporate giants like Walt Disney World, Marriott, and Embassy Suites, as well as individual property owners. His relentless, “get-it-done” approach to work led to numerous successes.
Darand’s expertise extended across all aspects of development, from land clearing and civil engineering to permitting and final construction. His hands-on approach consistently added value to each asset he worked on. By closely monitoring the ever-changing needs of each asset, Darand developed effective methods that allowed Exchange Place to identify future opportunities.
Sharon Williams
- CEO
Sharon Williams’ experience has encompassed the full spectrum of commercial real estate development and management for over 25 years in central and south Florida. The Williams family have built a reputation as high-quality real estate developers and managers, generating significantly increased value in their projects. Sharon’s focus on finished assets sought after by the market, highly valued by investors, and supporting communities with vibrant commercial real estate, continues to be a proven formula.
The core of Sharon’s Exchange Place Development real estate business acumen resides in its construction and development roots. From site selection, plat design, construction design, business valuation, and market demand starting as a young adult, Sharon Williams has literally grown-up defining project success and delivering investor value. Through management in raw land construction, rebuilt/redesigned, and reimagined assets from retail to industrial, Sharon’s businesses deliver the concept to reality envisioned by its stakeholders.
The Exchange Place brokerage business Sharon built brings a unique combination of expertise to her clients through her professional journey. Integrating owner, owner occupier, developer, construction manager, property manager and landlord representation, Sharon provides her client partners with a complete foundation of commercial real estate business intelligence.
Along with her professional life, Sharon is currently spearheading the development of a Winter Garden Children’s Museum. Her non-profit support includes acting as Chairperson for Eight Waves Development Committee and a member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce.
Jacob Williams
- President of Construction and Development
Born into a family of construction and development, many weekends of Jacob’s childhood were spent on job sites. As a result, development is truly “in his blood”. As a graduate of University of South Florida School of Business, Jacob’s rich experience combined with his business savvy creates a true asset to the company’s growth. Most recently Jacob worked for Findorff Construction, a 130+ year old construction company based in Madison, WI where he was the team building, The Hub, a 65-Million-dollar student housing project totaling over 370,000 square feet. Complete with a 12,000 square foot pool on the rooftop of the 6-story pre-cast parking garage. Jacob has experience constructing and developing office, school, retail, and student housing spaces.
